Traditional Stone Carving

Digital Stone Project is pleased to have partnered with local arts organizations, such as Grounds For Sculpture to offer Traditional Stone Carving classes taught by our very own staff sculptors. These classes are for everyone; no prior stone carving skills are required. Class fees include stone and tool use, students should provide their own safety equipment (eye protection, gloves, apron).

Digital Sculpture

Digital Stone Project offers a series of Digital Sculpture courses for artists and designers. These short but informative workshop-style courses are offered several times a year in our own computer learning lab and in other locations. They usually run in a long-weekend format. Topics offered include:

• Making Models for Scanning
• Using Rhino Software to make Digital Models
• Understanding CNC Programming
• Stone Selection and Finishing for Machined sculpture
• Other topics may be also offered.
